trAEce is preparing for the VIII Latin American Congress of Agroecology

Organized by the Latin American Scientific Society of Agroecology (SOCLA) and the Agroecology Group of the Department of Environmental Systems of the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of the Republic (Uruguay), the VIII Latin American Congress of Agroecology will be held online on November 25, 26 and 27 of 2020. SOCLA was created in Medellín, Colombia, on August 15 of 2007 and organizes every two years the Latin American Congress of Agroecology.

On this occasion, the congress is focus on promoting reflection, discussion and scientific exchange on Agroecology, joining efforts to contribute to the construction and strengthening of resilient agricultural systems, expanding and strengthening their capacity to contribute to the food sovereignty of the population, the access and conservation of natural goods, the revitalization of local production-consumption networks and the construction of fairer and more equitable social relationships, promoting rural cultures, ethical values ​​and the quality of life of farmers and the population, as a transformative political action.

A member of our trAEce team will be presenting her work related to youth and agroecology carried on in Hungary, at the same time she will be attending the pre-course and the congress activities. This participation will bring some new elements to our trAEce project to enrich the discussion and work.
