Late January (24th January 2020), the fifth Permaculture, Agroforestry and Traditional Fruit Growing conference (V. MAPER-AFINET-KmGYH Conference and Forum) was held in Budapest at the Faculty of Horticultural Sciences of Szent Istvan University organized jointly by the Hungarian Permaculture Association, National Agroforestry Network, Carpathian Network of Traditional Fruit Growers and the Department of Ecological and Sustainable Production Systems (SZIU).
The conference theme was bridging research and practice and how to scale up the agroecological practices There was a consensus that there is unprecedented demand for research in agroecological practices to ensure cross-cutting issues in the sector are addressed and holistically scale-up agroecological practices.
The trAEce project participated in the poster section in its pursuit of Agroecological awareness creation. This was in line with the project’s dissemination plan and desire to reach out to more farmers to ensure the knowledge and capacity development of the farmers.
